Originally arriving in South Carolina in August 1999, Yajaira quickly fell in love with the charm and warmth of this vibrant city. Alongside her husband, Jamey, they are proud parents of three wonderful children, ages 16, 11, and 9, who inspire her every day to create a better future for families in our community.

With 20 years of service at Berkeley Electric Cooperative, Yajaira has witnessed firsthand the remarkable growth and transformation of Goose Creek and the surrounding areas. She has seen how local businesses thrive, contributing to our city’s unique character and charm. Yajaira takes pride in being active within the community, frequently attending events to engage with residents, law enforcement, and local businesses. You might have spotted her at local fairs, town meetings, and festivals – always connecting with residents and listening to their needs.

Yajaira’s commitment to community involvement sets her apart.
